12月20日 back from Taiwanhey, again, its been long that I havnt blogged anything.
Just finished the long trip in Taiwan, got something to say. so, here we go.
First of all, generally people there are nice, especially the new friends I made there, like, Ray, Jocelyn, and some clients (one of those actually was joking about getting me home to be her daughter in law~~~-_-). Thanks so much for the hospitality. and most of the people i met there were in fact hoping the happening of "Three derect links" with mainland. To be honest, I love to hear that. Oh ya, I am quite patriotic. hehe
On the other hand, of course, some of those were quite harsh on this issue. They hate products and people from China, they think they can make it a country away from China. They think Taiwan is good enough to be an international metropolise. Blablabla. i am not talking about the politic issure here. and I deep down inside like Taiwan, i think it is nice. Its just, we can not ignore the fact that, there are some more other cities in China that are already much developed than Taipei. and, lets take HONGKONG for example, we should realize that, HK has been better off in some kind of way after its been back to China and accepted the DIY tourists. Last night I was in HK, and walking in the street. In SASA, all the sales-women there were speaking maderin(hard to be understood though), because, ALL the clients there were from Mainland China. Whats more, they were spending THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS there on Prada, Dior, SKII Lancome, and some other top brands.
Hey!!!!Come on! Look at this! This is business! This is MONEY!
So, lets pray for TW. I hope their new goverment will be smart enough to get more from this big cake.
OK, I am not the world saver though, just hope for the best for Taiwan, the beautiful island.
yes, it is beautiful! Especially the sunrise and the forest on Mt.ALISHAN(freezing though), the sunset in Kaohsiung bay, OH OH, the Garanbi(鹅銮鼻) park. that was the best part. the whole view of the grass field, forests, the rocks, the ocean, the blue and clear sky and the breeze, HHMM, incredibly amazing. I will launch the pics on the spz later.
Except for the fabulous view, the guide was somehow right about TW, it really is a place with culture crossover, which I like. Coz, you know, if you dont fit in the local culture, you can still find one that fits. TW is more affected by Japanese culture and western culture than what I thought.
There was something I hated during the trip though, Falungong(法轮功) was EVERYWERE! literally EVERYWHERE! Even on Mt.Alishan! come on! Its almost 3km high! Jesus! Anyway, they have their right to choose what to believe. uuuhh
For me, ah, dont worry, I can adjust myself in all kinds of live style and culture, and change my accent into the Taiwanese accent. Even some people wondered if I am Taiwanese. hehe. On this piont, I am flexible. But, WHO I AM? hmm. What kind of style really suits me? @_@
Ok, to make a long story short, it was a wonderful trip, TW is a nice place. I just hope for one day, the people in Mainland China and people in Taiwan can really get a chance to know more about each other, and will be more involed, as a family.
time to bed. g'nite.
